Melissa is a doctor in couple’s therapy, a licensed professional clinical counselor and a licensed independent chemical dependency counselor with experience in a variety of mental health and substance use facilities, both inpatient and outpatient. She specializes in the treatment of relationships, substance use, trauma, chronic illness, anxiety, ADHD and mood disorders. Her practice focuses on providing individual, family and couple’s counseling. She works with children as young as ten through adulthood. Her areas of expertise include EMDR, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, Motivational Interviewing, Communications, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She is passionate about working with couples. Her doctoral dissertation was on couple’s stress and marital satisfaction.
